I did it! I gave in and created a blog. With friends spread throughout the country...and the world, it's a nice way to let you all know what's going on in our lives. After all, we've made some pretty big changes in the past year. We both left our roommates and living in community to get married last September. We bought a house. And now, I am leaving my job in the PICU at Hopkins to do home Hospice. I remember this diagram we got in my college psychology class about the stresses of life and a certain amount of points attached to each thing....from my memory of it, I think we hit about 3 of the biggest stressors!
On the flip side, things are going really well for us, and I hardly feel the stresses of like. I feel like life is actually really good right now. Rob and I look forward to spending more time together when I start my new job, and we are considering taking a sailing class in the summer. Also, we are proudly a part of a Broomball team that plays on Tuesdays at the local ice skating rink. It's been very enlightening since neither of us knew what Broomball was, and extremely fun! And as always there is Sadie, our cute and mischievous chocolate lab. She has been so dear to both of us through all of our major changes. And she does a great job at keeping my spot warm in bed when I work nights...just so Rob's not lonely.
