What a jam packed week!

So this week really started out on Saturday when Penny and I ran the Fells Point Figgy Pudding 5k (almost 5 months pregnant!). It was not one for the record books. I putt-putted through Fells Point and got passed by a guy dressed up as a Christmas Tree. In the end, we had plenty of laughs and got a free pint of Guinness (or Coke in my case).

Wednesday the girls from the PICU and I did out annual train trip up to NYC for the day. Even though we try to see new things each year, we usually stick to the same route which includes stopping off first at Macy's to see the window decorations and hit up Starbucks. Then we go up 5th Ave and somehow find the same cafe to eat at every year. Head over to Time Square to visit M&M world and "the cleanest bathroom in the world" Aka: Charmin Bathrooms. The bathrooms at Charmins are a show within themselves. If you can pee under pressure with spot lights and don't mind a joke or two (and a theme song)...Charmin really is worth visiting. It's sadly where we take all our group shots when in NYC. After Charmin we head up to Rockefeller center to see the big tree and then to 5th Ave again where we window shop. All in all it was a great relaxing trip!

Me at the end of the race showing off my belly!

Me in NYC- See, I can really show off my belly now!

Girls group shot after a pit stop at Charmin's bathrooms.

Monday night R. and I went to Stoop Story's for the first time. (www.stoopstorytelling.com) I must say, I really did enjoy it. It's 7 people (usually local celebrities) that get up and tell a story on a particular theme in 7 minutes. They also had a band that played Christmas carols and I kid you not, R. sang!

And one of my highs to end this week: On my way home on the train I texted R, to see what he did that evening. He said he downloaded 60 Christmas songs that don't blow, laundry and the dishes. My prince charming... who I am breaking down to like Christmas!

It's a boy!

I am officially 20 weeks prego today, and we are having a little baby boy! R. is uber excited, Sadie is in the dark about all of it, and I am finding it MUCH harder to bend over to pick up things on the floor. We both decided to break it to Sadie like this, "We love you very much, but it is getting harder (aka: annoying) to play ball with you all the time. So we decided to have a baby boy who will love throwing a ball as much as you love fetching a ball!"

I will work on getting pics of me and the baby.

Ultimate HLH

Rarely do I say I have the "Ultimate HLH",but today was a day of mood swings so really, they are pretty good.

Highs: Doing a 3 mile run with Penny, even while being 19 weeks pregnant and feeling tubby! Talking to Jolene on the phone tonight who is pregnant with identical twin girls and is getting induced on Friday!!!! Talking to my Dad tonight and getting him to make me some Christmas CD's from his collection that he's downloaded from the library. As well, trying to convince my Dad that Christmas music with words is better than just instrumental, and trying to get him to check out a Mariah Carey CD from the library cause she has about the best Christmas CD ever.

Lows: 2 weeks ago I didn't get a paycheck from work (for unknown reasons), so after a few phone calls and emails I got one issued that I picked up Monday. Today I was running around frantically trying to find my paycheck, only to find out that R. did some unusual cleaning up, ripped up my check, and threw it out in the trash. So I reach in with coffee grounds and whatever else nastiness was in there, picked out the pieces and taped up my check, and then wrote and email pleading to have another one reissued to me! Few tears of course.

Huh: Driving home from work and seeing an old man driving a car with a "Gymkana" bumper sticker and just thinking how cool it was for them to do front flips through a ring of fire during Midnight Madness, but other than that, what did Gymkana really do...and why do you have a bumper sticker?
